Hollyoaks bosses slammed for hypocrisy over naked scenes after sacking Sarah Jayne Dunn for OnlyFans

HOLLYOAKS fans bash producer for firing actress Sarah Jayne Dunn for her OnlyFans account after naked scenes on Channel 4 soap.

Sarah, 41, played Mandy Richardson on Hollyoaks for 25 years but got sensationally sacked after as she refused to give up her money-making X-rated subscription account OnlyFans.

However, viewers claim Hollyoaks producer Lucy Allan is a hypocrite as there is an excessive amount of topless and sometimes naked scenes with male cast members.

One fan commented: "Does anyone else think Hollyoaks producer (Lucy Allan) is a hypocrite for axing actress Sarah Jayne Dunn who played Mandy for her online account? when the show screen nudity like shirtless and this evening's first look episode (October 27), Romeo was completely naked?"

Another agreed: "It’s not just Romeo although he’s probably the best example. Almost every episode lately at least one of the male characters is shirtless at some point."

Owen Warner, who plays Romeo Nightingale, is frequently shirtless in scenes and was cooking completely naked in a recent episode shocking viewers.

The 20-year-old actor has recently signed up to take part in ITV show I'm A Celebrity.

He hasn't ruled out a potential jungle romance after telling ITV bosses: "I am always looking for love!"

But others think it was a "breach of contract" that forced Sarah to be written out of the show.

Mandy's exit storyline saw her leave the village for a new job LA.

Her sister Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring) found a note from Mandy that explained that she wanted to depart the village in secret so that no one could change her mind.

But fans were left underwhelmed by the exit of the iconic character.

One fumed: "That was a s**t exit for Mandy!!!! @sarahjaynedunn deserved better."

Another penned:  "I get Mandy had to be written out super quick but leaving the country without saying goodbye to her daughter not really Mandy’s style."

Hollyoaks airs at 6:30pm on Channel 4 with a first look at 7pm on E4.
