COR BLIMEY

Corrie star completely unrecognisable as they transform themselves for new ITV show – can you guess who?

A Coronation Street legend looks unrecognisable after transforming into a drag queen for ITV's new series Queens For The Night.

Simon Gregson, 48, who has played Steve McDonald on the ITV soap since 1989, is one of the famous fellas who will be embracing his feminine side for the flamboyant show, which starts Sunday November 5th,

The I'm A Celebrity star's drag alter ego is Bidet Bardot and as the transformation snaps show, she is no shrinking violet.

As Bidet, Simon sports a jazzy multicoloured frock, teamed with fishnet stockings and towering purple platforms.

As well as a full face of slap, Simon wears a blonde beehive wig, not dissimilar to Corrie legend Bet Lynch.

The look is completed with an eye catching necklace, the likes of which his on-screen mum Liz McDonald would kill to get her hands on.

The series is hosted by drag superfan Lorraine Kelly and sees six celebrity men put through their paces and learn how to become drag queens.

According to the show's official release, they must "master the disciplines of drag, from singing, dancing, lip syncing, impression, comedy or Dragic! (Drag magic)."

Simon will be joined by 90s breakfast telly fitness star Mr Motivator, EastEnders legend Adam Woodyatt, Love Island hunk Chris Hughes, rugby player Joe Marler and former Union J popstar George Shelley.

Judging the series is Spice Girl Mel C, presenter and comic Rob Beckett, RuPaul's Drag Race favourite Courtney Act and Everybody's Talking About Jamie star Layton Williams.

There will only be one winner, and Simon admits he is feeling the nerves.

He said: "It’s very, very nerve wracking. First time on stage, first time I’m going to be doing what I’m going to be doing.   The nerves are riding high. It’s a new territory for me, so we will see how I get on."

As for what kind of drag queen he will be, he added:  "I think I’ll be a larger than life drag queen, very loud. I think that fits in with me quite well."
