SAS Rogue Heroes cast: Who appears in the BBC drama?

BBC are back with a new drama, SAS Rogue Heroes, which tells the story of a group of men in the war and all the chaos, tragedy and also funny times that they face.

Who is in SAS Rogue Heroes?

SAS Rogue Heroes is full of stars from your favourite shows such as Sex Education and Game of Thrones.

It's about how the SAS came to exist in North Africa during World War Two.

The setting is Cairo in 1941, and it surrounds the story of David Stirling - a young officer whose bored in a hospital after a training exercise went wrong.

Sex Education fans will be thrilled to see that Connor Swindells is starring in the new SAS Rogue Heroes as David Stirling.

He's the man that creates a plan that goes against most rules in modern warfare.

David Stirling is a young officer who comes up with a small undercover unit that looks at causing chaos on enemy lines.

You might recognise Jack O'Connel from another BBC drama, The North Water.

Paddy finds David's plan as an opportunity to show his rebellious side, use his skills and turn the fate of the war.

He didn't quite fit in with the expectations of what a soldier should be at that time, and found himself in military jail many times.

Alfie Allen stars as Jock Lewes in the all-new SAS Rogue Heroes.

You surely know him from Game of Thrones, where he took on the role of Theon Greyjoy.

Jock used to go by his own ways in many times, which not many were a fan of, but his methods worked in the SAS mission.

Sofia Boutella as Eve Mansour

The Star Trek star plays the role of Eve Mansour

Sofia Boutella stars as Eve Mansour in SAS, whose a spy and intelligence officer.

The Star Trek star is also the Deputy Head of French intelligence in Cairo under General de Gaulle's command.

She does what she thinks it's right rather than what the rules say to try and free Africa from the Nazis.

Dominic West as Dudley Clarke

Dominic West takes on the role of Lieutenant Colonel Dudley Clarke who was the chief of British Secret Intelligence, Middle East, Cairo bureau.

He's the man who came up with the idea of the Special Air Service (SAS), however, he only used it as a propaganda tool.

That was until Stirling came along and made it a reality.

The SAS was not possible with only a few people, and it was a collective effort to make it work.

When is SAS Rogue Heroes on BBC One?

SAS Rogue Heroes premieres on BBC One on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at 9pm.

The series has six episodes, and if you miss the airing of any one of them, they'll be available to watch on the BBC iPlayer.
