CELEBRITIES were seen with tears in their eyes at the Pride of Britain Awards, as a young burns survivor took to the stage to collect an award.
The little girl, named Elizabeth Soffe, defied odds after suffering life-threatening burns to her body as a baby.
Elizabeth, from Kings Heath, was only six-months-old when the accident occurred and nearly died in the cot fire.
She was presented with the Child of Courage award at the evening event, which took place on October 24 in London.
The cast of Strictly Come Dancing turned up to give Elizabeth her prestigious award and the little girl, who wore a sparkly dress, looked absolutely delighted.

Little Elizabeth’s story saw the audience overcome with emotion, with celebrities including TV presenter Emily Atack and singer Kimberley Walsh breaking down in tears.
Elizabeth raised more than £200,000 for Birmingham Children's Hospital, which is where she was treated for her injuries.
At the time of the accident, Elizabeth and her family were living in Qatar as a faulty air conditioner set the cot on fire.
Liam, Elizabeth's dad, said: “Her mum went inside and the room was on fire. The cot was on fire. Elizabeth was on fire.”

Elizabeth’s mum added: “She’s amazing, she wows us every day and the fact she wants to help others is just so her. This award means the world to her - and us.”
Tragically, she lost most of her fingers and part of her nose and an ear.
Looking beautiful in her dress while chatting to awards host Carol Vorderman, Elizabeth, who wants to be a Formula One driver, said: “People who are mean to (you), they don't understand that you're better on the inside.
"It doesn’t matter what you look like, it just matters that you’re kind.”
