Antiques Road Trip star snubbed by guest on new BBC series with The Repair Shop’s Will Kirk
TWO BBC stars have joined forces for a heartwarming new series.
Restoration maestro and star of BAFTA-nominated The Repair Shop, Will Kirk, is teaming up with auctioneering expert and presenter, Christina Trevanion, for The Travelling Auctioneers.
The brand new format is set to launch on Monday, October 31, and airs every weekday for three weeks.
It'll see the talented pair take their mobile auction house and workshop on the road across the UK.
Along the way, they unearth hidden gems and turn unwanted items into winning lots – with one lucky couple making more than £9,000 in the series.
Sifting through one family home at a time, Will and Christina first need to identify the items with the biggest selling appeal.

Christina then calls on her auctioneer contacts and expertise, whilst Will uses his incredible craft and restoration skills to bring new life to neglected treasures – ready for a thrilling on-site auction at the end of each episode.
Speaking of her favourite moments during the series, Christina has opened up about a time she was snubbed by a guest who only had eyes for Will.
She revealed that: "All of the stories stuck with me in one way or another, but one of the most charismatic people that we met during the series was Pattie in episode 6."
Christina explains: "Pattie was 88. She’d been through so much and just wanted to raise enough money to visit her friends in Spain.

"Her spirit was incredible – she didn’t let her advancing years put her off her trip, and she was absolutely hilarious."
Hilariously, Pattie "didn’t really know" who Christina was, but she added: "that’s fine by me, I don’t know who I am half the time either!
"But she is a big fan of Will. When I walked into the room she gave me a hello, but when Will walked in, she jumped out of her chair, pushed her walker aside, and leapt over to him!
"It was a joy and honour to be in Pattie’s company."
The Travelling Auctioneers begins on BBC One at 4:30pm on Monday 31 October, with all episodes available to stream on BBC iPlayer the same day.
