Bake Off star Sandro reveals he was initially rejected from being on series before becoming fan favourite

GREAT British Bake Off star Sandro Farmhouse has urged fans to keep pursuing their dreams – after he was initially rejected from being in the famous tent.

The 30-year-old baker has become a firm favourite during 2022, but had initially applied for the previous series only to be turned down.

Admitting the process had put him off going for it again, Sandro said the rejection "hit him hard" before he decided to apply again.

Posting on Instagram, Sandro said: "A small reminder to not give up and keep going, it sounds corny but dream do come true, you just have to put the work in.

"Before actually applying to get in the tent, I had chickened myself out so many times. I then finally grew the courage and I applied, got pretty far into the application process and didn’t get in, I won’t lie this hit me hard.

"I was so close to getting in the tent but unfortunately it wasn’t my time, but I didn’t give up.

"As soon as the applications came out I applied again and this time it all worked out, timing is everything.

"So, go for it. Whatever “IT” is just go for it, don’t give up and stay focused on that dream."
