Peter Andre and Katie Price’s kids Princess and Junior want to follow in parents’ footsteps and go on I’m A Celeb

PETER Andre and Katie Price's kids are desperate to take a stab at the show which saw their parents find love.

The duo have set their sights on the reality TV series despite the fact Junior, 17, has a career in music and Princess, 15, is still at school.

They agreed they "100 per cent" they would like a shot at I'm A Celebrity fame in the Aussie outback where their parents first laid eyes on each other in 2004.

It comes as the start date for I'm A Celeb's next series has been revealed, with the line-up arriving Down Under.

Junior told of bagging a spot on the series: "I think we have to do that! To represent!"

He joked: "We came from the jungle, didn’t we?"

Princess added of a jungle stint: ";That’s something I really want to do.

";It would actually be good to go on there, knowing both our parents were on there, that’s how they met."

Junior added: "And the show’s so amazing, it’s been going on for so long, so to be able to do that would actually be a very big achievement."

Their mum Katie, 44, has previously opened up on her "proper love story" with now-ex Peter, 49, who she met on the ITV reality series in 2004.

Katie previously talked candidly of her jungle experience, and explained: "Having Pete there in the jungle did make it easier because you'd fall asleep thinking of him and wake up seeing him there.

"If you haven't clicked with someone in there I think it's quite hard and lonely.

"It was a proper love story and I think me and Pete are the only ones who had kids come out of it."

The former glamour model - known as 'Jordan' at the time - added: "I was 23, I had no idea I'd go into the jungle and meet my husband."

Speaking ahead of a recent I'm A Celeb series, host Ant McPartlin said: "People love a romance, they love a love story and it just developed as the series went on."

But as showbiz-watchers know the relationship, which blossomed on the outside, didn't last.

They pair married in a lavish, princess-themed wedding at Highclere Castle the year after the show, but by 2009 they were divorced.
