GMB in presenter shake up as show brings in big name star on their day off
GOOD Morning Britain had a shake-up during today's episode as one of the main hosts was called in on their day off.
Susanna Reid is usually off for the last show of the week with Kate Garraway stepping in.
But the 51-year-old was called into work to report live from Downing Street after Liz Truss resigned as Prime Minister on Thursday.
Meanwhile Kate, 55, hosted from the studio with Adil Ray.
During the ITV show Susanna interviewed Sir Keir Starmer following polls suggesting Labour would win if an election was held.
While Susanna attempted to ask what the party would do to fix some of the chaos the country is currently facing - including the cost of living crisis - he appeared to swerve her questions.
This led Susanna to remind him that they "didn't have long" for him to answer.
Earlier this week Susanna was left red-faced in an awkward on-air gaffe.
The broadcaster raised her eyebrows and pulled a face as her mobile phone began talking to her from under the desk.
She and co-star Richard Madeley were discussing headlines on rising inflation rates when their voices seemed to trigger Susanna's device.
Richard said: "Getting it on your phone."
Wide-eyed Susanna responded: "Excuse me, yes... I'll turn that off."
