Love Island’s Shaughna Phillips surprises fans by revealing she’s pregnant with her first child

LOVE Island star Shaughna Phillips has surprised fans by revealing she’s pregnant.

The 28-year-old is expecting her first child with her mystery boyfriend Billy she started dating in April.

“Our greatest chapter yet…,” she wrote on Instagram.

Shaughna shared a video of her scan, which says ‘Shaughna and Billy’s baby’, on Instagram, and was flooded with congratulatory messages from her celeb pals.

Former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison gushed: “Omg!!! Congratulations beautiful girl.”

Billie Faiers added: “Awww congratulations darling ❤️ lots of love xxx.”

Shaughna’s Love Island co-star Demi Jones was also quick to comment on her pal’s sweet video reveal.

She told her friend: “I’ve rewatched this like 50 times. I love you so much 😭😭 I’m so happy and proud of you!!!”

And giving away that she already knew, Towie’s Chloe Brockett wrote: “Finally it’s out!!!” 

Shaughna’s pregnancy announcement days comes after she fainted at the National Television Awards.

The Winter Love Island star had to be carried out by her manager after passing out inside Wembley’s OVO Arena.

She told fans the following day that she ‘didn’t know what happened’ but added: “I just want to put it out there that I wasn’t drunk.”

Shaughna, meanwhile, has insisted she won’t reveal her boyfriend’s full identity because he wants to stay out of the public eye.

Speaking about him earlier this year, Shaughna said: “I’ve been dating someone who is also a surrogate dad to my fur babies.

“I used to say [to my dates], ‘I’d like to keep my relationship private, if that’s ok with you?’

“And if they said, “oh no, why would you keep my private?” I’m like, red flag. But this guy was like, “I don’t ever want to be in the public eye anyway,” and I was like, I like that answer.

“Ever since then, we’ve been going from strength to strength, and I like that because anyone who opts in for everyone to know their every move, like myself, is weird.”

The 28-year-old was left heartbroken on Love Island after her relationship with Callum Jones came to a sticky end.

She became known for her catchphrase “congrats, hun” as she muttered it to co-star Molly Smith who Callum brought back from Casa Amor.

She was later sent home from the villa when Luke Mabbott chose Demi Jones instead of her.

Shaughna joins the likes of Molly-Mae Hague who managed to keep their pregnancy secret – despite being at the National Television Awards last week.
