THIS Morning was blasted by viewers and hit with 231 Ofcom complaints after a segment about dairy plant-based milks.
The broadcasting watchdog was inundated after Alice Beer conducted a whirlwind tasting session with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
Viewers were particularly unhappy about Alice's claim that plant-based milks shouldn’t be used as alternative to cow’s milk for children and teenagers due to a lack of calcium.
The range of milks included soya, almond, oat, pea and even potato, which drew a grimace from Holly.
According to almond, pea, and flaxseed milk all have more calcium than cow milk.
Consumer reporter Alice even made a joke about co-star Holly's age during the segment.
As Alice gave Holly, 41, and Phil, 60, shots of milk, she said: “Phil you’re probably the same generation as me that had the little bottles of milk at school.”

Holly then told Alice she had the milk bottles at school too.
Alice replied: “Did you have the little bottles? Oh, well you’re older than I thought.”
Phil looked surprised at the remark, as Holly laughed and exclaimed: “Oh no,” to which Alice replied: “Love you.”
It’s not the first time Alice has addressed one of the presenter’s ages on the show, with Phillip seeming unimpressed when she mentioned his landmark birthday earlier in the year.

Speaking about loyalty cards, Alice explained: "If you're over 60 - that's you tomorrow isn't it, Phil - you can get..."
She then trailed off having noticed his expression, adding: "Oh. Oh dear, I should never have done that should I?"
Phillip replied coldly: "What a strange way to resign."
