STRICTLY Come Dancing's Jayde Adam's looks unrecognisable in a first look at her new gritty film, The Fence.

The star looked worlds away from her usual glamorous appearance alongside professional dancer partner Karen Hauer on the popular BBC show.

Jade has become a body confidence icon since appearing on Strictly Come Dancing.

The comic looked unrecognisable as the scary matriarch of a rough family.

The 1980s-set film, which is based on a short of the same name by director William Stone, focuses on a council estate kid in Bristol who heads out to settle a score with local thieves.

The first trailer shows the viewers what they can expect in the fast-paced movie, including one moment that involves Jayde getting accidentally knocked out.

The Fence also stars Hollyoaks' David Perkins, Game of Thrones' Eugene Simon, Taskmaster's Sally Phillips and Dunkirk's Lee Armstrong.

Viewers will be able to watch the movie in full when it's released on digital platforms on November 28.

Meanwhile in Strictly, Jayde and her partner Karen wowed the judges with their stunning routine based on What A Feeling from Flashdance leaving some viewers very emotional after watching.

Judge Motsi Mabuse thanked her for proving that "dancing" is for everyone.

It comes after the star moved the judges to tears with her American Smooth dedicated to her beloved sister who died from brain cancer.

The 37-year-old comic paid tribute to her older sister Jenna, her partner at disco-dancing contests in their youth and the inspiration behind her Strictly journey — as well as her career as a comedian.

Jayde had the BBC studio enraptured as she and partner Karen Hauer performed an uncharacteristically emotional dance to Bette Midler’s Wind Beneath My Wings.
