Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield booed at NTA Awards as backlash over Queen queue-jump row continues
HOLLY Willoughby made a swift exit from last night’s NTAs after she and Phillip Schofield were booed as the backlash to their Queen queue-hop row continued.
The This Morning pair were jeered as they won the Best Daytime gong in their first public appearance since being accused last month of skipping the line to the lying-in-state.
Some rivals in the category also refused to clap, while Holly — known for celebrating NTA victories with a few drinks — then left Wembley’s OVO Arena.
An onlooker said: “Holly picked up her award and then left 30 minutes after.
"Normally she stays around for a drink with Phil and the team but she made a quick exit.
“She was seen leaving the ceremony and getting into a car outside just after 10pm.”

Producers had feared the public — who vote for the NTA winners — would turn against the pair but Holly, 41, and Phil, 60, beat competition from Loose Women, The Repair Shop and The Chase to win.
As the award was announced, sections of the arena could be heard booing, while unimpressed Loose Women stars Kaye Adams and Judi Love appeared not to clap.
Collecting the trophy, Phillip said: “Please don’t ever think we get complacent and please don’t think we ever take this for granted.
"This means so much to us every year, especially this year.”
Holly added: “Thank you so much. This award means everything as it is voted by you.
"I think This Morning has a very special relationship with you, you make our show for us, you really do.”
The duo vehemently denied claims they pushed in front of people who waited up to 24 hours to pay their respects to Her Majesty.
And Holly went into a full charm offensive on the NTA red carpet, spending time shaking hands and posing for selfies with fans as she turned up without Phil.
Ironically, Holly and Phil, who arrived with daughter Molly, 29, then had to queue to get in the arena with other celeb attendees as organisers checked tickets.
A witness said: “Phil was in good spirits. No one said anything, of course, and he kept a low profile. He was with Molly and looked very relaxed.”
Other celebs at the awards included TV presenter AJ Odudu, Eurovision singer Sam Ryder and Strictly winner Rose Ayling-Ellis, while comedian Joel Dommett larked about with wife Hannah Cooper.
