Strictly Come Dancing 2022 RECAP: Fan fury as Craig Revel Horwood scores Johannes and Ellie just three while Tony gets 4

STRICTLY Come Dancing fans were fuming after judge Craig Revel Horwood scored Johannes and Ellie just three points - and gave Tony a 4.

The show's own Mr Nasty was back in full force on Saturday night's show.

Strictly fans flocked to Twitter after Craig said Johannes' dance 'lacked passion.'

One Tweeted: "Three. Just three!"

Another said: "That was cruel."

Meanwhile fans feared Fleur East could end up in the bottom two again after an 'odd song choice.'

The X Factor star will be dancing to Elton John's 'I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues', and fans were less than impressed.

Other Strictly stars have been given more upbeat tracks with Helen & Gorka doing the jive to ‘Tightrope’ by Janelle Monáe.

    The singer found herself in the bottom two of Strictly Come Dancing last weekend, but shouldn't have been, says dance expert.

    "Fleur’s performance exhibited a heightened level of strength, coordination, and expressivity. 

    "Fleur should not have been in the bottom two, it is possible she wouldn’t have ended up there had the judges’s original scoring been less harsh," said Dr Jill Rose Jacobs, a professor of dance, on behalf of the Heart Bingo blog.

    She added: "Fleur’s score on Saturday evening did not reflect the top tier performance she gave."

  • Gemma Atkinson explains to daughter why Gorka Marquez wasn’t cheered

    Strictly pro Gorka and Gemma’s daughter, Mia, asked why Gorka wasn’t being cheered.

    In a sweet clip shared on Instagram, Gemma had to explain to Mia how the scoring system works on Strictly Come Dancing.

    She reassured her daughter that Gorka and dance partner Helen, had made it to the next round on the show.

    In the adorable video, Gemma said: “But he’s back next week,” as Mia asked: “Why were they not shouting?”

    Gemma then replied: “They didn’t shout him because he was in the last two but he’s definitely, definitely back next week.”

  • James Bye hails Strictly rival as ‘incredible’

    Speaking on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two, EastEnders actor James Bye hailed Fleur East as “incredible” after she defeated him in the dance-off.

    “The standard is getting better and better and better and some dances you are going to excel at. For whatever reason the judges didn’t see that the Charleston was one of our best dances,” he said.

    “It’s a game and that is the way you have to play it. We did our best and I’m happy to have left the competition under those circumstances. We danced as well as we could have danced it. And Fleur is incredible.”

    Former footballer Tony Adams is being “over marked”, claim some Strictly fans.

    One fan tweeted:  “Tony Adams over marked again….trying to manipulate the votes again…”

    Another slammed: “So over marked Tony #strictly.”

  • Strictly’s Kym Marsh admits difficulty balancing rehearsing with family life

    Strictly’s Kym Marsh has admitted she finds it tough to balance rehearsing for the show with her family life.

    She is a mother of four and grandmother to three.

    Kym told : “Sometimes it’s hard because obviously there’s a lot going on in my life.

    “There’s a lot going on – Waterloo Road, my family. Then you take on board learning dances, travelling and everything else.

    “Sometimes you can let our head go into a place. Today I managed to get myself out of that on my own.”

  • Dan Walker and Nadiya Bychkova reunite

    The Channel 5 presenter partnered up with Nadiya once again as the practice for a dance event later on this week.

    He gave a glimpse of the studio via Instagram, saying: “Back in the training room with my professional partner - and 2 time world champion - @nadiyabychkova.

    “We are dancing at an event later this week and there are 2 bits of excellent news… 1. I can remember the moves. 2. The trousers (unbelievably) still fit."

  • Will Mellor 'peaked too early' slams choreographer

    He said the Coronation Street actor put on a "forgettable" display on the weekend.

    James said: “There were select moments in his routine that I did think were excellent, but I'm sad to say it was such a forgettable performance.

    “I like Will and I still feel he has a lot more to offer because we saw what he did in Week One - but maybe he peaked too early.”

    Last year's Strictly Come Dancing champion dressed up as the iconic Cher, from 90s hit movie, Clueless for Halloween.

    Rose wore Cher Horowitz's signature yellow and black blazer and kilt skirt for a Halloween party with friends, over the weekend.

  • Strictly's Max George sends an eyebrow raising message to Ulrika Jonsson

    It comes after she slammed fellow Strictly star and girlfriend, Maisie Smith, for attention seeking.

    Max George swore at Ulrika, in an Instagram snap, showing him gesticulating at her in response to her harsh comments about Maisie.

    He simply captioned the post: “Just for you Ulrika."

    Ulrika hit out at Maisie after she uploaded a video of herself crying on TikTok.

    In her column for The Sun, Ulrika wrote: “It also exploits the loyalty and goodwill of her fans, who clearly care deeply about her.”

    She concluded: “It has a whiff of the boy who cried wolf about it.”

    This weeks choices have divided fans, as Ellie Taylor is "shafted" with a rumba.

    Pop tunes have been picked out for this weeks theme, as we leave Halloween well and truly behind.

    One fan tweeted: "Wow actual proper music for the dances this time. Amazing."

    Another responded: "A great list of songs for Week 7. I'm very worried about Kym though.

    "A Rumba and Argentine Tango back to back for 2 weeks. I hope she dosnt go home at the weekend. Great to see Fleur back on Ballroom again with the Waltz this will be her week."

    "poor ellie being shafted with a rumba," penned another, looks like the rumba isn't a popular dance choice among fans!

  • Ellie Taylor swerves Strictly curse probe

    The comedian tactfully avoided the questions from Susanna Reid on Good morning Britain.

    Susanna asked: “Is the Strictly curse something that concerns you?”

    “I think when I signed up for Strictly, what concerned me was the dancing, Susanna, because I can’t dance!” Ellie quipped.

    Despite being worried that she couldn’t dance, Ellie came top of the leaderboard over the Halloween weekend on Strictly Come Dancing.

  • Fleur East shares painful injury with fans

    Speaking on Hits Radio show yesterday morning, Fleur revealed the stomach churning injury she sustained during rehearsals.

    “Last week I knocked my big toenail against Vito’s heel during rehearsals for our salsa and my nail is now just about hanging on, it’s literally a matter of days before it comes off,” she said on radio.

    “It doesn’t look pretty and I had to dance with my big toe bandaged up on Saturday.

    “And then I tripped in the dance-off as I slipped doing a back bend!”

    Ouch! Wishing Fleur a speedy recovery!

  • Oti Mabuse helps Brits learn CPR with dance

    Strictly star Oti has shared choreographed a dance to Olly Murs Heart Skipped a Beat to help Brits potentially save a life.

    In the clip shared on TikTok, Oti demonstrates the most important steps to take if you suspect comeone is having a heart attack.

    She shares the top tips of checking for danger and then the victims breathing, before calling 999 for help.

    Next is to find a defibrillator, and then finally giving chest compressions – at two beats per second, with two hands interlocked.

  • Strictly super fans camp out overnight for a chance of seeing the show live

    Almost 100 fans of the long running show pitched up tents over night so they could be some of the first into the auditorium.

    Fans were interviewed by the the , at around six in the morning on Saturday, as they prepared for a big day ahead.

    Alison Wratchford, 51, and her husband Paul, arrived at midnight on Friday having trekked all the way down from Warwickshire.

    “If you’re going to come to Strictly you want the best seats,” Mrs Wratchford says. “I wasn’t trying to be first in the queue but I was determined to get in.”

    “I couldn’t sleep so we got up and came down,” she told the BBC.

    Strictly pro Neil Jones spoke about how the outfits worn on the show can impact the overall performance.

    Speaking on Morning Live, Neil said: “And we know good costumes can always hide bad dancing.”

    He then jibbed at host Gethin Jones, “you should know that!”

    Gerthin joked: “Yeah, hide the dancing with the costumes; that was my tactic!”

    Speaking on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two, EastEnders actor James Bye paid tribute to his dance partner.

    He said: “I’ve had such an amazing time but Amy is what Strictly is all about.

    “I have never worked with anybody, in any line of work that has loved her job as much as Amy does.

    “She gives this show every part of her body, she is such a lovely human being, she will be in my life forever. She is amazing. But this is what Strictly is all about and they are so lucky to have her.”

    A body language expert Adrianne Carter looks into the signs there is a feud bubbling under the surface between the Strictly judges.

    •  Motsi roll her eyes at Craig when he gave Molly Rainford criticism.
    • Craig branded Motsi a “diva” in an interview recently, which might have touched a nerve with her.
    • Female judges had a different opinion compared to the male judges, with Motsi and Shirley siding with one another.
    • Stern Shirley, Adrianne says the head judge’s “head tilt and the stern face tell us very clearly that Shirley is not happy with the decision”.
