EastEnders news LIVE: Fans in tears as Lola comes clean after shock diagnosis; plus Corrie & Emmerdale spoilers

EASTENDERS fans were left in tears after Lola Pearce made the difficult decision to come clean about her shock diagnosis this week.

In last night's episode of the BBC soap, mainstay Lola (played by Danielle Harold) learnt that she has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme, an aggressive form of brain cancer that may not be curable.

Despite doctors orders to stay in hospital until her operation, Lola decided to head home where she made the difficult decision to come clean to her family after another dizzy spell. She gathered Billy, Honey and Ben Mitchell to reveal the truth about her diagnosis.

Fans were left in tears with one saying: "This storyline that is doing with Lola is going to be so heartbreaking," while a second added: "Honestly never cried so much when watching something but this got me."

Danielle's on-screen alter ego is set to be killed off at the end of a gut-wrenching storyline.

    Owen has landed in Australia for the next series of I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.

    He has starred in Hollyoaks as Romeo Nightingale since 2018.

    "I'm scared of all sorts of things to be fair. Snakes aren't a bit of me, I don't know why I have come to Australia! Snakes and spiders everywhere here," reported.

    "I don't mind a bit of camping. When the weather is nice camping is great but when it is raining and cold it is not so cold," Owen added.

    The character has taken an almost comedic approach in storylines recently, but fans aren't happy about it.

    "Poor legendary characters like Gail and Eileen having a scene that involves one getting hurt by pumpkins when boring characters like Summer and Stephen dominate the storylines," wrote another.

    A source said: “There has been a lot going on in and things were just getting too complicated with Shona being involved.

    “Max will always have a lot of love and respect for Shona but it’s just not the right time.

    “Everyone is trying to make things as least awkward as possible on set – luckily they don’t have many scenes together.”

    This comes after Max became a dad with ex girlfriend Roisin Buckle last month.

  • Emmerdale: Al Chapman held at gunpoint

    Fans are terrified as Cain Dingle discovers Al is having an affair with his sister, and he is on the warpath.

    In upcoming scenes, Cain corners Al, with a shotgun in hand, and questions him on what he is doing with Chas.

    One fan tweeted: "I Have bad feelings this whole showdown with Cain [and] Al isn’t going to end well.

    "I have a bad feeling that it won’t be Al that gets shot.”

    It’s that whole ‘you can’t choose your family’ type of thing. There’s that really inherent need to support the ones you’ve grown up with and you share blood with, but it’s a tricky one.

    “I think it’s really been pushed now – and there’s certain things coming up that Verity can’t shy away from.”

    EastEnders fans are absolutely dreading a heartbreaking brain tumour storyline as a fan favourite goes in for surgery.

    Lola Pearce's rapid decline in her health has left EastEnders fans anxious and in tears, and last night she was rushed to hospital after she collapsed and suffered a seizure.

    Heartbreaking scenes began to unfold as Jay accompanies her to the hospital, where they learn she has a brain tumour. This comes just as the two decided to give their relationship another go, and had been enjoying their renewed romance over the last few weeks.

    The two promise Lola's daughter Lexi that next Halloween they will go trick or treating, and Jay looks terrified as Lola goes for her operation.

    Fans took to Twitter to share their distress, one wrote: "Poor Lola, that just felt far too real," another agreed, "Dannielle Harold delivering an absolutely heartbreakingly good performance as Lola."

  • Split rumours sparked for one former soap star

    Maisie Smith has posted a video to social media showing her in tears sparking split rumours with boyfriend Max George.

    The former EastEnders actress took to TikTok to share an emotional video which sparked concern from fans online.

    Maisie - who played Tiffany Butcher in the BBC soap opera - posted a short compilation onto the video sharing platform with upsetting clips.

    The 21-year-old was first seen with a solo tear streaming down one side of her face.

    More clips show the the bombshell woefully wiping her eyes, and cradling her dog for comfort.

    The cockney star, 45, will bow out of the BBC soap this New Year after ten years playing Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter.

    Soap bosses pulled out all the stops for the major stunt, driving a car with crash dummies dressed as Linda and Janine over a cliff.

    An EastEnders insider said: “Bosses are staying tight lipped about the exact nature of Danny’s exit but there’s no way his character would go out without a bang.

    “Exact details are being kept top secret but the show is pulling out all the stops to make it an explosive ending, which will no doubt leave the residents of Walford reeling.”

    The two played Aidan Connor and Eva Price on  respectively, and they will now be starring alongside each other in a new murder-mystery on , The Good Ship Murder.
