From Richard Hammond's upcoming car restoration show to Stephen King’s creepy upcoming thriller Chapelwaite, there’s no shortage of shows to binge-watch until your heart’s content.
Richard Hammond’s Workshop (Discovery+)
Having thrown everything into setting up his classic-car restoration workshop in season one, Richard Hammond is back, facing the tricky task of making The Smallest Cog in Hereford a profitable concern.
While you might imagine that having a TV series on Discovery+ would be pretty good advertising for Richard, it turns out that business isn’t exactly booming.
And although the workshop looks lovely and talented restorers Neil Anthony and Andrew Greenhouse are seriously good at what they do, they’re struggling to find the right kind of work.
Now, terrifyingly, Richard is £300,000 down.
With the very real prospect of going bust threatening to put the brakes on his dream, can Richard and the gang finally get out of first gear and rev up for success?
Or will his latest scheme - a Smallest Cog race team - land the business on the scrap heap once and for all?

Step Up (Lionsgate+)
The long-awaited third series of Step Up is here, with Christina Milian taking over the role of Collette, following the tragic death of original star Naya Rivera in 2020.
Life at the High Water performing arts school is as cut-throat as ever for the students, while founder and megastar Sage is facing tough battles of his own, including murder charges and financial ruin.
There are also some new characters to look out for this time, including Angel, a talented Londoner with a shady background.

War Of The Worlds (Disney+)
Some would argue that a third season of War Of The Worlds wasn’t really necessary.
After all - and here comes a spoiler for anyone who didn’t see the first two series - last time we were with him, Bill had tinkered about with time to ensure that the alien invasion that started the whole thing off never actually happened.
People across the planet are experiencing strange hallucinations and Catherine has detected some unusual black-hole activity.
Chapelwaite (Paramount+)
Stephen King’s creepy provides the inspiration for this chilling 10-part horror series set in the 1850s.
Adrien Brody plays troubled ship’s captain Charles Boone, who moves his three children to his family’s ancestral home, the suitably creepy Chapelwaite, after his wife drowns at sea.
But Charles and his family quickly find themselves unwelcome in the local town, where suspicion and superstition combine with murder and mystery in an enjoyably fright-filled way.

Inside Amy Schumer (Paramount+)
Six years on from the last series of her multi-award-winning show, Amy’s back with another blast of no-holds-barred comedy, promising sketches, stand-up, interviews and a whole lot more.
This time round, Amy turns her attention to topics such as gender politics, sex and relationships and by the looks of it, the passing of time has done nothing to blunt her cutting edge.
“I wanted to bring back to burn any remaining bridges,” she says.
“It’s better than ever. Well, not as good as season three. But close. You won’t want to miss the show that will finally get me forever cancelled.”

Barbarians II (Netflix)
Forget all those Vikings and Saxons, if you want high-octane historical thrills, guts, gore and fight scenes galore, you can rely on the Barbarians.
As season two begins, it’s one year after the Battle of Teutoburg Forest and the Romans are hoping to tame the Barbarians of Germania once and for all.
For the Barbarians’ leader, Ari, things are set to get personal once again, as his brother Flavus has teamed up with the Romans, in order to punish him for betraying Rome.
Expect blood and mayhem. In German with subtitles.

The Peripheral (Amazon Prime)
If the seemingly endless stream of worrying news headlines makes you wish you could access an alternate reality, you need to check out The Peripheral.
This highly-polished and super-slick new eight-part series, based on the book by sci-fi king William Gibson, is all about the idea of moving between realities.
And with its imaginative plot and impressive effects, it’s guaranteed to transport your mind somewhere totally different during each hour-long episode.
Set 70 years into the future, the action centres around Flynne Fisher, a young woman with a remarkable talent for playing virtual reality computer games.
When her brother Burton is asked by a shadowy organisation to try out a highly immersive new game, in exchange for a large amount of money, he agrees and passes the job on to Flynne.
But once inside the simulation, she begins to wonder what’s real and what’s not, and before long she realises that her life is in grave danger.
It’s genuinely thrilling stuff, a proper TV head rush, drenched with eye-popping effects and adrenaline-soaked action set pieces.

A Friend Of The Family (Sky & NOW)
Jake Lacy stars as creepy Robert Berchtold in this 70s-set true-life drama about a man who kidnapped his friends’ daughter several times over a number of years.
Also featuring Anna Paquin and Colin Hanks, it’s disturbing but brilliantly made.

The Playlist (Netflix)
A drama telling the fictionalised story of the rise of Spotify might not sound like the most riveting of watches, but this six-part series - which stars Edvin Endre as the music streaming service’s founder Daniel Ek - is well-acted and unexpectedly compelling.
