Strictly Come Dancing star has a finger missing – but viewers never notice because she ‘subconsciously hides’ it

STRICTLY Come Dancing star Vick Hope has revealed that she subconsciously hides her missing finger after it was chopped off during an accident.

The Radio1 Breakfast show presenter opened up abut her insecurity by showing the missing finger to the camera while chatting to Keith Lemon and her co-star Jordan North during an episode of Shopping With Keith Lemon.

Vick explained how she got the injury, after Keith asked the radio pair in a preview clip of Thursday night's episode', "What's the craziest thing you used to do as a kid?"

Vick confessed: "Well yeah, I lost a finger. You don't even notice.

"I was in Zimbabwe, I was in a shop and there was all these little statues of Pigmy warriors and I was like three years old so I was like, "I want to be their friend, I want to give them a hug!"

"I gave them a hug, it fell against another one, scissored, chopped it straight off."

Keith then asked Vick if she felt conscious of it when she was in school, and Vick replied: "When I hold things I automatically do this."

She then picked up a pack of hair bands and showed how she puts the chopped finger behind the item.

The Radio 1 star added: "I subconsciously hide it."

Showing her missing finger to the camera, Vick also gave viewers a glimpse of her £1million engagement ring after getting engaged to DJ Calvin Harris earlier this year.

The TV and Radio presenter was seen wearing her diamond engagement ring at the Chelsea Flower Show in May.

During the episode, Keith Lemon also opened up about his insecurity. As he shared: "I’ve got no toenail on my big toe and when I go on holiday and go to the beach, I put that toe in the sand."
