The Crown star splits from his pop star wife – as his new actress girlfriend is revealed

THE Crown and Primeval actor Andrew Lee Potts and 90s girlband star Mariama Goodman have ended their marriage after eight years.

It comes as the star confirmed he is now in a serious relationship with an actress named Katie Sheridan. 

The actor has gone public on social media with his new girlfriend and says Katie makes him "smile a lot" .

Andrew and Mariama, who was in the 90s girlband Honeyz, have two children together and were last seen on each others social media back in 2020.

The actor, who is set to star alongside Henry Cavill in the next series of Netflix’s The Witcher, and Katie seem to have only started dating earlier this year.

Andrew went public with their relationship in Feb of this year and also posted snaps from their first ever holiday together back in July. 

Taking to Instagram, The Crown actor shared a recent sweet snap of himself with Katie at a recent movie premiere for her latest film Give Them Wings.

He captioned the post: " Very proud to be by the side of this wonderful woman @KatieSheridan3, gives a fantastic performance in this movie."

He continued: "Red Carpet- Give Them Wings. Congratulations to all involved and lovely to see you last night. #Me&mylady."

The loving post showing off his new actress love interest left fans slightly confused.

One fan wrote: " I think I'm missing some information."

Another chimed in: " From what I can tell Andrew must've separated from his wife because he's been all lovey dovey with Katie. Mariama and him aren't following each other on social media anyomore."

Despite the confusion other fans were delighted to see Andrew with his new lover.

One wrote: " Wish you the best."

Another echoed: " Hope you will always be happy together.";

While another commented: " You are both adorable."

Andrew - who was once engaged to S Club 7 singer Hannah Spearitt - described their romantic getaway as ‘special’. He also gushed that Katie makes him ‘smile a lot’.

Mariama Goodman is a British singer. She's famous for being a member of the girl band's, Solid HarmoniE and the Honeyz.

Andrew and Mariama started dating in 2014 and got married in that same year, but have no split and unfollowed each other on social media.

The pair have one step-daughter born to Mariama in 2011 and they share a son Grayson, born on 17 August, 2016.
