Tracy Beaker’s Dani Harmer hits back at fans who think she has ‘taken loads of drugs and been to rehab’
DANI Harmer has opened up about her time on the hit CBBC drama series The Story of Tracy Beaker in a recent interview.
The 33-year-old actress was interviewed by former co-star Holly Gibbs as part of the From Early YouTube series.
Holly, 25, played Millie in the series alongside Dani, who of course played the iconic Tracy Beaker.
Now the pair have sat down for a chat on Holly's YouTube channel, and Dani has hit back at assumptions made about her by those who watched the show.
Holly asks Dani: "Do you think there are any misconceptions about finding fame, good or bad, at an early age?"
Dani responds: "Yeah I think that everyone assumes that I've taken loads of drugs at some point and ended up in rehab, which I've never done guys.

"I'm probably the only child star who has never done any of those things."
Holly jokingly congratulates the actress, who replies: "I am squeaky clean, and proud of it thank you."
She goes on to explain that she's so grateful she was a child star when social media wasn't a think, as she doesn't know how she would've coped.
Dani says: "I get really weird trolling messages all the time and its draining - and I'm 33 - so I don't know what my younger self would've been like, I probably would've quit!"

It's been over 20 years since the series first aired - it ran from 2002 to 2006 - and Holly joked that Dani still hasn't aged.
The actress joked back: "CBBC actually kept me in a freezer!
"I'm really lucky, I remind everyone of their childhood, so it's that nice feeling of nostalgia, so I just get love all the time.
