I’m A Celebrity bosses sign first ever Love Island contestant for this year’s series
LOVE Island’s Olivia Attwood is set to sign for I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.
The reality star is the first ever contestant from the ITV2 dating show to get the call for the jungle and ends a seven-year ban on them taking part.
Olivia, 31, was one of the biggest stars to emerge from Love Island, after pairing up with Chris Hughes, 29, in 2017, and went on to feature in ITVBe’s Towie.
A TV insider said: “This is a sign that the dating favourite is now so big and produces figures with such high profiles that they can no longer be dismissed.
“Olivia is already viewed as a rising star on ITV and this is likely to serve as a launchpad for potentially fronting more mainstream shows with the broadcaster.”
Olivia, who is engaged to 28-year-old Blackburn Rovers footballer Bradley Dack, has just made a documentary on people who make money from sexual images online called Getting Filthy Rich.
She already has experience of bush tucker after she jetted to Australia to take part in I’m A Celeb’s spin-off show I’m A Celebrity: Extra Camp as a special guest in 2018. That saw her sample sheep brains.
Last year Olivia revealed she'd love to head into the main show, which heads back Down Under this autumn after relocating in Gwrych Castle in North Wales, due to Covid restricting international travel.
She said: "I'd love to do the jungle. I'd give Dancing on Ice a go, although it does scare me. I'm a bit of a baby, so I don't like getting hurt.
"I feel like the minute I fall over once, I'd be done. I know it sounds dramatic, but I'm just a bit like that.
"For me, the jungle is less scary. So I'd love to do the jungle."

She left viewers impressed as she threw herself into trying out the various vomit-inducing challenges the campmates are forced to endure during their time.
One of those tasks, in particular, saw the blonde beauty chomp on fish eyeballs and animal testicles.
And Olivia is ready to do it all over again as a full-time competitor when the show returns next year.
