Hollyoaks star Ali Bastian reveals she’s FIVE months pregnant with second baby

HOLLYOAKS actress Ali Bastian has revealed she is five months pregnant with her second child, saying: “It’s exciting but scary.”

The one-time Strictly star who played Becca Dean in the Channel 4 soap is already mum to two year old daughter Isla with husband David O’Mahony.

She broke her happy news on Instagram and told fans that her little girl is “going to be a big sister”.

She added: “@davidcomahony and I are over the moon to finally share our exciting news.”

Former Hollyoaks star Sarah Jayne Dunn wrote beneath a photo of Ali craddling her baby bump: “You look so beautiful 😍❤️”

Another fan said: “What a beautiful picture. Massive congratulations ❤️”

Ali and David took part in a photo shoot and interview with in which Ali revealed: “Isla is so excited.

“Toddlers have no concept of time, so every day she’s asking, ‘Is the baby here yet?’”

The couple married in 2019 and welcomed Isla a year later at the start of lockdown.

Speaking about their second child arriving in more normal conditions, Ali said: “I think it will be a bit bittersweet in a way.

“We’ll be able to enjoy the things that we couldn’t do last time – our families missed out on the first few months of Isla’s life – so I think there will be a bit of grief for what we couldn’t do before.

“At the same time, we were in our tiny little bubble in our flat in London and there was a beauty and simplicity in that.”

Ali also revealed they have found out the sex of their unborn child but are keeping it a secret.

“It’s so exciting, and a bit scary,” she said.

“We had a bit of a bumpy start because I had some early bleeding, so I was sent to the early pregnancy unit.
