TONIGHT 15 excited celebrities will reveal their professional partners for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing ahead of Saturday night’s live show.

This phenomenon has become known as the ‘Strictly curse’ after a series of very public break-ups from show participants.

Over the course of 18 series of the BBC favourite, nearly a dozen couples have split up thanks to their time on the show.

And it’s unlikely to end any time soon – because, according to sex expert Pippa Murphy – dancing and sex are very similar, which leads to amorous feelings.

The relationship pro at  explained: “When you think about sex and dancing, there are a lot of similarities.

“Firstly, they both raise a person’s pulse and heart rate, and can even give them a rush of adrenaline.

“There are also physical effects – a warm sensation runs from the dancer’s toes to the top of their head, which along with the release of endorphins, makes dancing addictive.

“But most importantly, dancing (and sex) helps connect the two partners, which when combined with the act of getting out of their head and into their body can cause sexual tension.”

She went on to explain why affairs do end up happening – revealing that endorphins can end up taking over.

“Contestants are contracted to do at least 12 hours of training per week; however, some professional dancers expect 12 hours per DAY,” she shared.

“Over time, dancing becomes muscle memory so when the contestants learn a sexual dance, their body is reminded that they can do this off the dancefloor (and enjoy doing it too – due to the endorphins), so they find themselves subconsciously wanting to repeat those movements in the bedroom.

“However, if their relationship isn’t fulfilling their new-found sexual drive, they may look for other options – such as the professional dancer they now find themselves grinding up against every day.”

The celebrity line-up this year also includes Paralympian Ellie Simmonds, Ted Lasso actress Ellie Taylor, Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps actor Will Mellor, Loose Women star Kaye Adams and Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh, TV presenter Helen Skelton and former England footballer Tony Adams.

They are joined by Bros singer Matt Goss, Kiss radio host Tyler West, Britain's Got Talent finalist Molly Rainford, comedian and actress Jayde Adams, Wildlife cameraman and presenter Hamza Yassin and BBC Radio 2's Richie Anderson, EastEnders actor James Bye and singer Fleur East.
