Emmerdale and Coronation Street to air bonus episodes TONIGHT after soap schedule chaos
WITH the nation in mourning for Her Majesty The Queen, broadcasters shook up their schedules to pay their respects.
Emmerdale and Coronation Street fans will be pleased to know they will be treated to bonus episodes tonight.
ITV is making it up to its viewers after cancelling multiple episodes of its two most iconic dramas.
After pulling off the majority of its shows, following the monarch's death at the age of 96, the channel postponed the airing of Monday's Emmerdale and Corrie episodes.
These were supposed to air respectively at 7.30pm and 8pm.
Tonight, viewers will catch up with all the drama in the Dales as the Yorkshire-based program returns at 7pm, which used to be its time slot before another schedule shake-up bumped it down to the 7.30pm.

Soapland fans will then be taken to the cobbles from 8pm as Coronation Street will be airing until 9pm.
The long-running drama usually airs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday but ITV has agreed to make an exception tonight.
Soaps will be back to their normal schedule as of tomorrow (Wednesday, September 21), with Emmerdale airing at 7.30pm and Coronation Street hitting our screens at 8pm.
This means viewers will then have to wait Friday for their fix of Coronation Street.
As mentioned above, the small screen was shaken up by the Queen's death on September 8, 2022.
BBC One's schedule was altered with EastEnders and the majority of its shows airing over on BBC Two.
Meanwhile, ITV cancelled all its soaps alongside daytime TV shows in the likes of Loose Women and This Morning.
