Selasi, 36, who works as a banker for his 9-5, shot to fame on the seventh series of the competition in 2016 while it was on the BBC.

When the contestants weren't busy baking in the tent, the bakers had time to wind down in the green room and eat snacks.

But Selasi and the rest of the gang were partial to a sing-along in between filming.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Selasi said: "We were a good bunch and we used to have our karaoke sessions in the green room.

"We didn't really need music, if we did, then we played music from Spotify and just sang along to it.

"There are a few videos out there, which we're not going to share of us singing in the green room really loud.

"One big one was Bon Jovi, Always, it was fun!"

The bakers also never had to worry about getting hungry because there was always food available, and they could even make requests.

Selasi explained: "There was always fruit, obviously you have to be healthy because we're baking all the time and it's sugar, sugar sugar.

“So there was always food by special requests as long as it's not ridiculous like asking for a lobster or something.

“Val and me used to bring things that we liked. I like Haribo and Val noticed that, so at one point she brought in a really big box of Haribo that we went through.

"You keep snacks, fruits in your drawer and in your workstation in the tents as well. So there was always snacks everywhere.”

All of the contestants who took part in the seventh series of the show got on very well, and in particular fans fell in love with Selasi's close bond with Val Stones.

Now, six years on, and the stars are still in regular contact.

"We still have a WhatsApp group and talk on Instagram. We talk on direct messages on WhatsApp," Selasi told us.

"But we do have our original Whatsapp group from when we were filming and it's still active!

"We wish each other happy birthdays and before Covid we used to try and meet a lot, but since Covid, obviously trying to get back into the new normal of things, we haven't met since Covid, but we do talk."

He also revealed that they made a special document so that they will always be able to reach out to one another.

Selasi added: "We created a spreadsheet from day one where we had everyone's addresses and everyone’s date of birth.

"So we used to know everyone's birthday to wish them happy birthday and all that kind of stuff.

“Or if you needed to send someone something then you know you have that spreadsheet to refer to for the address and if the address changes though we just update it."
