BLOODLANDS viewers were left seriously distracted by James Nesbitt's appearance just minutes into series two.
The BBC One drama follows James' character Detective Tom Brannick as he investigates the death of an accountant after a body was found on the shores of Strangford Lough.
It opened with a flashback to Tom in 1998 wearing a balaclava as he shoots two men dead.
The drama of that night is linked to the murder case that he is trying to solve in the present day - but fans couldn't believe their eyes as they watched a younger looking Tom unmask himself.
Viewers have been left in hysterics at the "ridiculous CGI" skills used to make Tom appear 20 years younger.
One wrote: "Can't stop laughing at that terrifying yet ridiculous filter on James Nesbitt. #Bloodlands"

The disappearances are linked to 'Goliath', a mysterious assassin who also happens to be the murderer of Tom's beloved wife, Emma.
The biggest shock of the series came when it was finally revealed that Tom himself was Goliath and had been coerced into killing two men when Emma’s life was threatened.
Tom tried to keep his tracks covered as his colleagues attempted to solve the case, and he ended up framing his boss DCS Jackie Twomey for a murder he had committed.
The series ended with Brannick killing the only people who could have identified him as Goliath, including Adam Cory, who revealed his brother had had an affair with Tom's wife.
Viewers were thrilled that the gripping series was back on their screens.
The new series kicked off as the murder of a crooked accountant unravels a trail of greed that threatens to expose his identity as legendary assassin, Goliath.
Tom and the accountant’s widow, Olivia Foyle must keep each other dangerously close.
