EastEnders begins filming Danny Dyer’s exit as massive prop arrives on set

EASTENDERS have begun filming the final scenes of Danny Dyer’s exit from the soap.

As soaps film months in advance, they are currently reaching the end of 2022, which means dramatic Christmas storylines.

Back in May, following news of his exit, Danny hinted that his final scenes as Mick Carter could air this Christmas.

And on Wednesday afternoon, an eagle-eyed fan of the popular BBC soap spotted Albert Square‘s annual festive tree on set.

The inclusion of the prop suggests that Danny, who plays resident pub landlord Mick, will have his on-screen exit this winter after nine years in the show.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun earlier this year, Danny revealed there will be no way back for Queen Vic landlord Mick.

“There’s been a discussion about what we’re gonna do,” he said, before teasing: “I might be killed off, I might not – I just want to go out in a huge, epic way.

“I don’t want to be in the back of a cab. I don’t want a heart attack because of high cholesterol.

“I want to go out and I want to get people talking about it.”

Danny’s exit will be the focus of the big episodes around Christmas and New Year.

He will front a Netflix quiz show called Cheat and appear in a four-part drama for Channel 5 filming in Australia.
