TALKTV host Vanessa Feltz has relived the heartbreaking moment she clung to the wheel of her husband's car as he walked out on her.
The 60-year-old reflected on her marriage to her ex Michael Kurer on Elizabeth Day's podcast, .
The father of her two children left late one night with no explanation - leaving Vanessa feeling like her heart was physically broken.
It was later discovered he'd been having a string of affairs throughout their relationship.
She called her 17-year marriage one of her life's biggest failures - but has found huge success and happiness since moving on from her cheating ex.
Detailing the moment her marriage ended, Vanessa told the podcast: "I remember getting home from a wedding with him and thought he was getting ready for bed.

"The next thing I saw was he was getting dressed and packing a case and said 'i'm leaving'.
"He said he just wanted space. He hadn't mentioned it to the children or told me why, it was absolutely shocking.
"I started to beg, 'I'm begging you, please don't leave, I'll do anything'. I didn't understand what I'd done wrong.
"You know how everyone says, 'you don't know what goes on in a marriage behind closed doors,' but I was behind the door and I didn't know. I had no idea.

"I don't need to give you all of the details, but effectively I put my arms around the wheels of the car and said 'please don't drive away, please don't leave us'.
"I just thought, what can I do to make him stay.
"Oh god it was just awful."
Vanessa is a devoted mum to her two daughters Allegra, 36, and Saskia, 33.
She's happily engaged to her partner Ben Ofoedu, who is a singer, since 2006.
The TV personality recently quit the BBC after almost 20 years, calling time on her early-morning breakfast shows on Radio 2 and BBC Radio London.
The broadcaster said she was stepping down to catch up on a “decade’s deficit of beauty sleep”.
Last week Vanessa started her new job as a presenter on TalkTV for a three-hour drivetime show.

But just four days, Vanessa was brought to tears as she read the announcement of the Queen's death live on TalkTV.
The beloved monarch passed away on September 8 leaving the nation stunned and grief-stricken.
