MAFS star tells wife he is ‘divorcing her’ as angry fans brand her ‘cruel’
MARRIED At First Sight fans have branded one of the stars “cruel” – while her husband also threatened to “divorce” her.
April, 32, has come under fire by viewers after making her husband George, 40, climb the outside of Tottenham Hotspurs’ Stadium.
The financial adviser has a fear of heights and clung onto the railing in terror, before almost crying at the peak.
April, a bridal dress designer, then made her frightened groom abseil down to the ground alongside her.
Once on solid earth, he fell to his knees and told her several times: “I’m divorcing you!”
It came as the MAFS brides were given ‘Yes Day’, which meant their grooms had to agree to anything they wanted to do.

But fans have slammed April for making her husband climb 153ft up a stadium when he has a phobia of heights.
One tweeted: “April was cruel to George. Does she not understand phobias or fears?”
Another agreed: “Yeah April is wrong for making him do something he’s really terrified of. She could have had fun without forcing him into literal blind panic.”
Someone else questioned: “Why would April do that to George it’s cruel?”
And a fourth fan wrote: “I wonder what April’s fear is and how she would have reacted?”
April was unable to hide her excitement when she told George what she had planned for their ‘Yes Day’.
Incredibly, he went through with the entire thing but told her at the end that he wanted a divorce.

April, meanwhile, hugged him and told her husband how “proud” she was of him for going through with the climb.
Married At First Sight airs on E4 at 9pm on Mondays to Thursdays.
