Coronation Street spoilers: David Platt issues chilling warning to Stephen Reid
IT’S all about to kick off on the Coronation Street cobbles as David Platt begins to rattle Stephen Reid’s plan.
Viewers of the ITV soap Coronation Street have known the truth for some time about Stephen’s financial woes and the breakdown of his marriage to estranged wife Gabrielle but his on-screen family have so far been none the wiser - until now.
In upcoming scenes, viewers will see the crack’s in Stephen’s wayward plans begin to show and his desperate bid for money exposed.
Following Audrey’s (Sue Nicholls) recent suicide attempt, the Platt family have come together in order to support each other during this emotional time but David discovers the family could see a further setback as he becomes concerned about the sinkhole which begins to re-emerge in the garden.
A panicked David (Jack P. Shepherd) plots for the family to move out while Jenny’s new fiance Leo conducts a full survey of the property.
But upon Audrey offering for all the family to stay with her, Leo clocks Stephen’s unease which sparks his interest.

As Leo shares his thoughts to Jenny, she attempts to mask her anxiety worrying about what Leo may be set to uncover.
Later, as Audrey and Gail enjoy a day at the spa, Stephen makes out he enjoyed a night at a luxury hotel but Leo knows he’s lying.
As Audrey returns home she is shocked to see a valuer assessing her house.
She discovers they arrived on the instruction of Stephen but is Stephen able to talk himself out of it as he and Leo come to blows?
Eventually, a rattled David threatens to phone the police over Stephen’s plots but Stephen manages to stop him.
David begins to quiz Stephen about why he spent the night in his car and why the valuer turned up at Audrey’s house.

However they’re interrupted mid row by a knock at the door and Stephen’s heart sinks as he sees Gabrielle there.
Stephen is left wondering if she will reveal all or if Leo will get there first after he insists he knows he is lying about his financial situation.
