Channel 4 have revealed the official Great British Bake Off 2022 line-up, including 59-year-old Carole.
Who is Great British Bake Off 2022 contestant Carole?
Carole is a supermarket cashier from Dorset.
Born and bred in the West Country, she lives with her husband Michael on a Dorset hillside.
Aside from baking she enjoys gardening and has a segment on a local radio show called Composite Caroline, in which she shares all her gardening tips and tricks with listeners.
Carole found her love for baking with a first birthday cake for her eldest grandaughter Masie.
Since then, she has refined her skills, using YouTube to teach her the finer techniques.
Her favourite flavours are fruity and punchy.

What has Carole said about joining Bake Off?
Carole couldn’t hold her excitement to get into the Bake Off tent, although she said it was a lot “smaller” in real life.
“It was much smaller than I expected, but it had a familiar feeling about it, as I had watched nearly every one of GBBO episodes, so felt quite at home,” she said about her first day in the tent.
When speaking about her baking strengths, she said: “Definitely decorating the cake, especially using fondant, weakness is quite possibly patisserie!”

The Great British Bake off begins on Channel 4 on Tuesday, September 13, at 8 pm.
New episodes will air every Tuesday.
For the first episode, the contestants will be set one Signature, Technical and Showstopper bake by judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood.
