Strictly Come Dancing’s Helen Skelton reveals surprise link to one of the judges
STRICTLY Come Dancing star Helen Skelton has revealed her surprise link to one of the judges on the BBC One competition.
The former Blue Peter star – who is set to take to the dance floor for the first time this weekend – admitted that she sometimes plays golf with Anton Du Beke.
Helen, 39, joked that she would give her pal and pro dancer Anton, 56, who is joining the judging panel this series, a “big stick” if he says something bad about her dancing.
Speaking to the mother-of-three – who took part in the Christmas Special – admitted they play sport together.
“I’ve played a lot of golf with Anton so he knows I can hit him with a big stick if he says something,” Helen joked.
“When I did the Christmas special, when you get the critique you don’t hear it, you’re just so glad that it’s over.”

It comes after Helen gave Strictly Come Dancing fans a VERY rare look at the behind-the-scenes secrets of the show.
TV presenter Helen was quick to give fans a look at the shenanigans backstage as she showcased a series of snaps from her first days on set.
The Strictly star looked eager to get going as she had a smile across her face in the snaps including a cheeky pic holding a slice of pizza during her lunch break.
Helen playfully posed alongside co-stars such as Fleur East and Kaye Adams in the pics as they began the gruelling task of consistent training in order to exceed in the competition.
Captioning the photos, former Blue Peter star Helen was quick to describe the ‘infectious’ energy she felt on set.
The star wrote: “Totally understand why people rave about being part of this show in the way they do…. Smiles and laughter are infectious.”
Helen continued: “Very grateful to be part of the class of “22” still in awe this is technically work. For however long it lasts I have already made memories to last a life time.”
The sneak peak offers a rare opportunity to fans to see what life is really like on the hit show with backstage secrets often remaining in the dark.
The new series, which kicks off on the 17th September, is set to feature a return to fan favourites such as Blackpool Week after Covid previously put a stop to it.

Helen’s latest posts come after The Sun revealed she had actually won a tap dancing award in the past, prompting speculation as to whether the star was at an unfair advantage.
Helen, who signed up to the series after her marriage split from rugby league ace husband Richie Myler, 32, in April, is actually a trained tap dancer.
