Richard Osman insists it’s ‘reassuring’ that House of Games is already back on air the day after Queen’s death
RICHARD Osman has said he finds it “reassuring” that House of Games will air as planned the day after the Queens death.
Her majesty the Queen died peacefully at Balmoral on Thursday after doctors became concerned for her health.
“The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.
“The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.”
The nation entered a period of grieving and broadcasters including the BBC have changed their schedules today.
Celebrities like Sir Elton John, Helen Mirren and Daniel Craig paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away at the age of 96 after a 70-year reign.
The network confirmed that BBC One will air coverage of the Queens death until 6:30pm on Friday, with a line-up of special BBC news specials.
With the news of the Queens death, BBC Two has faced challenges with their schedule, and are not airing coverage Queen but they have planned programming for the day.

Richard Osman’s House of Games, is one of the shows that will remain unchanged and will air on the channel at 6pm tonight.
“Interesting that House Of Games is on,” he wrote on Twitter.

“It was striking how much routine and normality were essential during the pandemic. Something reassuring about it," he continued, in response to the announcement of the schedule.
More events around the UK have been altered since the Queen's death, including The Mercury Prize, which has been paused for now.
Richard Osman recently announced this year he is stepping down from the daytime edition of the BBC show, Pointless.
But the TV presenter and comedian will still continue to host future series of Pointless Celebrities and Richard Osman's House of Games.
