Emmerdale spoilers: Bernice Blackstock gets shock new love interest
RISHI Sharma is still struggling with loneliness in the Dales, more particularly after his night spend with Sandra Flaherty.
But he finds a kindred spirit in Emmerdale in the form of Bernice Blackstock, next week.
Less than a year has gone by since Rishi Sharma's (played by Bhasker Patel) marriage to village GP Manpreet broke down and the character is still struggling to move on.
However, he's not the only one to suffer with being alone as Bernice (Samantha Giles) is in the same spot.
This leads the pair to agree to have lunch together in upcoming scenes of the ITV program.
Unfortunately, Bernice is the only one ready to attend the date as Rishi bails, fearing she's too intense for him.

As mentioned above, before giving Bernice false hope, Rishi spent an evening with Sandra.
But the mother of village resident Liv Flaherty was only interested in his surprise windfall as she goes above and beyond to get some cash.
Sandra learned that Rishi was on a dating app and made herself a fake profile before reeling him.

She then reeled him in by showing up at what would have been Rishi's date.
The pair spent time together before heading upstairs and Sandra then blackmailed Rishi over their night.
This led to Rishi giving her money, just as Mandy Dingle was certain Sandra was up to no good.
Meanwhile, Bernice's love life has been pushed to the side for several years.

Throughout her stints in the village, Bernice has been involved with several residents, including Ashley Thomas and Lawrence White, to whom she was married.
In 2019, she fell in love with Liam Cavanagh and made plans to marry him but these were thwarted by another one of her former husbands, Charlie.
Bernice had received news the latter had been involved in a devastating car crash.
Eventually, Liam moved on and tied the knot with Leyla Harding, leaving Bernice alone.
