The Apprentice’s Lord Sugar parts company with another show winner – one who made history
SHE was the first woman to jointly win The Apprentice – now Lord Sugar has secretly parted company with Sarah Lynn.
The sweets delivery businesswoman triumphed on the 2017 series of the BBC1 show along with James White, who has already split from the tycoon.
Their joint win was a sensational twist as Lord Sugar had only ever selected a single candidate to invest with during the show’s 17-year history.
A TV insider said: “This will have come as a huge blow for Sarah, though it shouldn’t have been too big a surprise for her.
“She joins a long line of entrepreneurs who won The Apprentice only to find themselves splitting with Lord Sugar some time later.
“The situation is obviously likely to attract greater attention because she was the first joint winner on the Beeb show.”

The separation with Sarah comes after he also ended his partnership with 2018 series winner Sian Gabbidon, which The Sun exclusively revealed earlier this year.
Official records showed he no longer had a “significant control” of her business, Sian Marie Fashion, a beach and loungwear firm.
He had invested £250,000 into the venture, the same sum that all the candidates get after completing all the tasks set by the Amstrad legend.
Meanwhile James, who had an IT recruitment firm and branded himself a “Del Boy”, ended his union with Lord Sugar in 2020.

He was lucky to win in the first place as he broke show rules by having a romance with one of the other candidates, Jade English.
James’ split came after 2015 winner Joseph Valente and 2016 winner Alana Spencer, suffered the same fate.
At least Sarah is in good company.
Marilyn man row
SOME like it hot, but if you like your TV steamy then check out Netflix’s biopic of Marilyn Monroe.
Blonde will feature lots of nudity, group sex, self-pleasuring and – in a first for the streaming giant – an erect willy.
Netflix’s first ‘adult’s only’ film stars actress Ana de Armas as the Fifties movie sex siren.
Brunette Ana transforms into a blonde for the role of Marilyn, while Adrien Brody plays her third husband, playwright Arthur Miller.
Blonde is released on September 23 and has been given an 18 rating for sexually explicit content by the British movie censors.
Director Andrew Dominik said: “It’s controversial. It’s a demanding movie – it is what it is, it says what it says.
“And if the audience doesn’t like it, that’s the audience’s problem.
“If I look at an episode of Euphoria, it’s far more graphic than anything going on in Blonde.”
I’m not sure that will placate Marilyn fans annoyed at their idol’s sleazy image.
Alison’s sitting pretty
ALISON HAMMOND and Dermot O’Leary return to hosting This Morning this week for the first time since all Covid restrictions were lifted on set.
That means that for the first time since they started co-hosting on a Friday they have been able to actually sit side-by-side.
Alison said: “We had never done it ‘normally’ before.”
She added: “I was actually a bit nervous about sitting next to him at first, because I was so used to working and hosting with that distance between us.”
Dermot agrees, saying: “I sometimes still forget because I automatically go to sit two metres apart, and Alison often says, ‘Get closer’.”
The duo return to fronting This Morning on Friday at 10am on ITV.
JOE LYCETT gave Laura Kuenssberg a unique present after he appeared on her BBC1 show yesterday a picture of Robert Peston in prison.
Joe posted on social media a pic of him giving her the bizarre artwork of Robert, who has a rival political show on ITV, saying he wanted to gift her “Something I knew she’d love.”
TV Mart’s doggone memento
WITH the final series of Doc Martin starting on Wednesday at 9pm, lead star Martin Clunes wants to take a dog from the set of the show.
Not a real life animal, of course, but a plastic canine that will probably be familiar to fans of the ITV drama which is set in the fictional town of Portwenn in Cornwall.
Asked recently what memento he’d most like to sneak out with him, Martin replied: “The Guide Dogs for the Blind spaniel model from outside the chemist.
“It is one of those old models that you put money in to raise funds for the charity.”
I’m assuming he’s taking the pooch out of sentimentality - not a desire for any cash inside.
THE Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power had more than 25 million viewers around the world - in its first day.
The spin-off from the books and movies – which was made available in 240 countries around the world – is Prime Video’s biggest premiere in its history.
They’ll need some payback on the initial outlay for what’s become the most expensive TV show ever made.
