This Morning fans demand presenter shake-up with ‘dream’ presenters as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield return
HOLLY Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are the faces of This Morning - but viewers have called for a huge shake-up.
Holly and Phillip hosted their final show on Friday 8 July before taking their annual holiday with a stream of presenters stepping in over the summer.
Rochelle Humes, Mollie King, Vernon Kay, and Craig Doyle were among the back up hosts who stepped into their shoes.
The ITV breakfast show has now revealed the lead anchors will return to our screens on This Morning on Monday 5 September.
But fans of the weekday programme have demanded that show legend Ruth Langsford and her pal Rylan Clark take over the main presenting duties amid calls for a show shake-up.
Ruth, 62, and Rylan, 33, filled in for an incredibly successful week at the end of August.

"My dream team would be Rylan & Ruth mon-thurs and Craig & Josie on Friday, " one fan said.
Another wrote on social media: “Ruth and Rylan should do it all the time. Phil and Holly think it’s all about them. Will miss not seeing them. Couldn’t they have done next week.”
A third tweeted: “Ruth and Rylan, far better than Lord and Lady Phil and Holly who are well past their sell-by date.”
The Morning is now reportedly under pressure to make the huge switch.

A source close to the show told : “You do have to wonder what Holly and Phil made of Ruth and Rylan’s popularity.
"The viewing figures were great, as was the social media interaction, which is important to ITV.
“People around the building are laughing at the irony of Ruth being more popular than Phil, especially after the history between them, and more so Eamonn.”
Eamonn and Ruth used to anchor the programme on Fridays until they were replaced by Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond.
They continued as stand-in hosts until Eamonn stood down after 15 years in November, joining GB News.
However, Ruth stayed with ITV, continuing to appear on another daytime hit, Loose Women.
Rylan has fronted the show before, appearing alongside Eamonn in a rare all-male line-up in 2019.
In a bombshell interview earlier this year, This Morning legend Eamonn hit out at big broadcasters.
