The kids have never seen us drink, I won’t touch a drop of booze and neither does Pete, says Emily Andre
PETER Andre’s wife Emily has revealed she hasn’t drunk alcohol in over a decade – and her decision has influenced the singer.
The NHS doctor, 33, said none of the children have ever seen them boozing in the house after she gave up when pregnant.
Emily is mum to Amelia, 8, and Theo, 5, and is step mum to Pete’s kids with Katie Price, Princess, 15, and Junior, 17.
Speaking to The Sun to mark the return of the We Eat Balanced campaign from the AHDB, Emily said: “I stopped drinking when I got pregnant with Millie and she will be nine in January, so it’s probably been more than 10 years now.
“It was just because I realised when I was pregnant that a) I didn’t like the taste, b) didn’t like the hangovers anymore and just that I am quite sociable anyway so don’t really need it.
“So when I had her I was breastfeeding, so wasn’t drinking then and I just never started again and then he [Pete] felt ‘I won’t sit at home and drink wine with a meal if you are not having it', so he kind of stopped as well and neither of us have drunk now for ages.”

The star continued: “I wouldn’t even have a glass of champagne, at our own wedding I had a sip of champagne to toast with but literally I have had no other sips of alcohol in ten years.
“None of the kids have ever seen us drink because even the oldest kids would have been still quite young when it stopped. It’s not really a big deal in the house, it doesn’t really come up in conversation much. It’s just how it is.”
Emily was transformed into a real life Iron Woman to encourage Brits to adopt a balanced diet, which contains plenty of iron and vitamin B12.
She admitted she was hesitant to pose completely in silver paint but felt it was an important issue to raise awareness for.
“I’m naturally quite shy, I have never done anything like that in my life, so I considered it for a couple of days. I loved it. Pete loved them,” she said of the snaps.
“It was good for me confidence wise because it was so out of my comfort zone. I felt really good afterwards.”
