The Grand Tour’s Richard Hammond reveals daughters have already been approached by Love Island bosses for villa fame
THE Grand Tour's Richard Hammond has revealed his daughters have already been approached by Love Island bosses for villa fame.
The 52-year-old has two daughters with wife Amanda; Izzy, 21 and Willow, 19.
While their famous father has been on our TV screens for decades, Richard isn't sure his girls would want to follow in his footsteps in any way, even when it comes the biggest reality show on the box.
Speaking to The Sun Online and other media to promote the latest special for The Grand Tour, A Scandi Flick, Richard said: " I can't stop my daughters doing anything they want to do, they're 21 and 19 and terrifying.
"If they want to do something they will do it, but I don't imagine they would want to, to be honest."
Asked if they would ever do Love Island, he added: "I think they've been asked but I doubt it.

"That's for them to decide, but I'm not going to try and stop them."
If either of his girls were to take part, they would follow in the footsteps of other Islanders who are the offspring of famous parents including Dani Dyer and most recently Michael Owen's daughter Gemma Owen.
Richard has no interest in doing any kind of reality TV himself, saying: "I don't think I would want to do reality TV personally, I'm kind of boring I don't need to show the world that."
The new episode of The Grand Tour is far from boring, with Richard, Jeremy Clarkson and James May heading to a remote part of Norway to drive rally cars in extreme winter conditions.

And for once, Richard isn't the one who ends up crashing, as that dubious honour falls to James, 59, who ends up in hospital after crashing his car into a wall at the end of a tunnel.
Richard said of the show: "We are in real peril, I've personally learned and now James has learned, better than most people, that just because you're doing it for tele doesn't mean things can't go wrong. They do.
"I've ended up in hospital with things broken including my brain because they do and there's nothing you can do, there's no magic wand. There's no protective TV bubble.
"Accidents can happen, circumstances can change, things can go wrong and break and they do, we're very brave really!"
The Grand Tour Presents: A Scandi Flick premieres on Amazon Prime Video on September 16 2022.
