GLADIATORS star Nikki Diamond looks unrecognisable 30 years after playing Scorpio on the ITV show.

The original eight series of the programme ran between 1992 and 2000.

Nikki, who was 27 at the time, was one of the original cast members of Gladiators.

She appeared on the show in 1992, and also took part in the second and third season as well.

Nikki, now 57, excelled at challenges such as The Wall, Powerball, Suspension Bridge and Hang Tough.

Back in May Nikki took part in a meet and greet for Bew Events and they shared a snap of the star on their Instagram page.

The TV star looked incredible wearing a black vest top, matching sleeveless leather jacket and shorts.

She accessorised with a silver watch, cross chain around her neck and earrings.

Nikki opted for a natural make-up look and styled her hair into a half up/down do.

Bew Events Instagram account captioned the post: "Would just like to say a massive thank you to our guest for yesterday's Meet and Greet.

"Nikki Diamond aka @scorpiofitness_ it was an absolute pleasure working with you.

"I'd also like to thank the fans who come and supported us and constantly support our meet & greets."

Since her stint on Gladiators Nikki has kept a low profile.

However in 2014, she opened up about why she had to leave the show to the

Nikki, who is mum to one daughter called Emily, said: "I developed a severe back problem after dropping from a rope on to the stage floor wearing stiletto boots. This impacted my lower spine and was so painful.

"As a result I had to leave Gladiators.

“Leaving was sad but I remained busy, thanks to my modelling and other TV jobs, including being a roving reporter for Watchdog and making 48 episodes of the kids’ programme, Demolition Dad, with Peter Duncan. I also wrote a book, Body Dynamics. 

“Now, I’m running the Chun Ming Dao Martial Arts Association in Epsom, Surrey, with my partner, Neil. We teach people of all ages, among other things, tai chi and kung fu. I’m keeping busy but I will always have fond memories of the years spent on Gladiators.”

Fans will be happy to know that BBC1 are bringing back Gladiators 22 years after show was cancelled – and it’s filming next year.

The programme was briefly revived for a revamped series for Sky One between 2008 and 2009.

The original series were presented by Ulrika Jonsson and John Fashanu.
