Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two hosts confirmed as fan favourites return to 2022 show

STRICTLY Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two has finally confirmed its hosts ahead of the new season of the BBC One competition.

The companion show - which is set to return to screens next month - will be presented by former pro dancer Janette Manrara and popular telly host Rylan Clark.

Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to TV next month with a whole host of new celebrity faces.

The much-loved BBC competition, which is celebrating its 20th season this year, has already revealed its star-studded line-up.

Among them were the hosts of the regular shows on Saturday and Sunday night on BBC One - Claudia Winkleman and Zoe Ball.

However, fans of the show have been eagerly awaiting the news of popular talk show It Takes Two, which delves deep into the behind-the-scenes action each week.

Now, it has finally been confirmed that professional dancer Janette, 38, will be joined by former X Factor star Rylan, 33, on the show.

The pair is set to interview contestants, professional dancers, judges and behind-the-scenes teams on the Monday-night programme.

Rylan, who has presented the show since 2019 - was joined by Janette for the last series back in 2021 after she hung up her dancing shoes.

Rylan told the BBC of his return to the show: ";I’m so excited to be back at Strictly – It Takes Two for my fourth year. I absolutely love being part of the show. 

"I’m so thrilled that my television wife Janette is joining me for the ride and we can’t wait to bring you all the backstage gossip from this year’s Strictly extravaganza."

Janette chimed in: "I am so thrilled to be back hosting It Takes Two alongside the amazing Rylan! 

"I’m very excited to bring the audience more great conversations with our couples, a lot of fun weeknight television entertainment and, of course, to celebrate my favourite show on TV, Strictly!”

It Takes Two is due to return to BBC Two and BBC iPlayer on Monday, 26 September - a week after Strictly hits screens on September 17.

It comes after the Strictly Come Dancing line up was finally revealed, including EastEnders' Martin Fowler actor James Bye and Countryfile's Helen Skelton.

Football tough-nut Tony Adams and X Factor winner Fleur East will also take to the floor, as well as Matt Goss,  Kaye Adams, Will Mellor, Kym Marsh, Richie Anderson, Molly Rainford, Tyler West, Elllie Simmonds and Hamza Yassin.

Comedian Ellie Taylor and stand-up star Jayde Adams complete the line-up of this year's stars.
