EastEnders star Ashvin Luximon who played Asif Malik dies aged just 38 as devastated family pay tribute

FORMER EastEnders star Ashvin Luximon has died aged 38.
The actor, who appeared on the hit soap as Asif Malik between 1999 and 2003, passed away on July 23 "due to an aneurysm".
His family have since paid tribute to their "loving son, brother and friend".
On a website set up in Luximon's honour, they wrote: "This site is a tribute to Ash, who passed on the July 23, 2022, due to an aneurysm.
"Ash’s unexpected passing has hit us all hard, but we want to take the time to remember his larger than life spirit.
"He loved and was loved by so many.
"He sang a mean karaoke tune and had a voice loud enough to hear from space.
"He brought laughter and the best cuddles."
Luximon, from Enfield, North London, appeared in 146 episodes of EastEnders.
His character was a school friend of Martin Fowler, played by James Alexandrou at the time.
The pair were notorious for getting into trouble for shoplifting and vandalism, before Malik passed his A Levels and went off to university.
For a short time, the teen dated Nicky di Marco, played by Carly Hillman.
Luximon also had minor roles in Grange Hill and Hope and Glory, and was part of Comic Relief 2003.
His relatives asked mourners to donate to their chosen charities in place of flowers.
This includes the NSPCC and Andy's Man Club, a men's suicide prevention organisation.
Luximon's funeral was held on August 11 and attendees were encouraged to "wear colour to celebrate his life just as he would have wanted us to".
His parents said: "Our darling son, we love you so much. Have fun with the angels."
