Today it was revealed she will present on This Morning again for the first time since October 2021 - alongside Rylan .

It will be the first time she has fronted This Morning since husband Eamonn Holmes quit.

She told fans on Instagram on Sunday night: "Excited to be reunited with my TV son @rylan on @thismorning tomorrow….let the fun begin! Hope you can join us at 10.00 am on @itv."

This Morning also shared the news on their Instagram page, writing: "Guess who's back… ✨ Come and join @ruthlangsford and @rylan, all this week on #ThisMorning! ❤️"

Fans of the show were pleasantly shocked by the news, with one writing: "Omg I cannot wait for next week @ruthlangsford ❤️❤️"

Another said: "Thank the lord!!! Maybe the bosses might realise how much we have missed Ruth on the show!!!!"

Eamonn and Ruth used to anchor the programme on Fridays until they were replaced by Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond.

They continued as stand-in hosts until Eamonn stood down after 15 years in November, joining GB News.

However, Ruth stayed with ITV, continuing to appear on another daytime hit, Loose Women.

Rylan has fronted the show before, appearing alongside Eamonn in a rare all-male line-up in 2019.

In a bombshell interview earlier this year, This Morning legend Eamonn hit out at big broadcasters.

His comments came after his apparent fall out with Phillip Schofield.

He said: "TV companies can do whatever they want with you. It’s just, sometimes it surprises you, the ones they hold on to."

Speaking about whether he would he go back, he said: "There’s one or two people that would have to not be there... But of course. I don’t care who I work for as long as I’m working."
