The Chase’s Mark Labbett brands Bradley Walsh a ‘div’ in awkward on air moment
THE Chase took an unexpected turn as Mark Labbett branded host Bradley Walsh a ‘div’ in an awkward exchange.
The remark was made during a celebrity special edition of The Chase where a whole host of showbiz names battle it out in order to take home money for their chosen charities.
The Beast made the dig at Bradley following radio presenter Dev Griffin’s cash builder round by referring to the pair as ‘Div and Dev’.
The contest started out smoothly with Jacqui Oatley adding £1,000 to the prize pot before it was Dev’s time to shine.
The radio host wowed his fellow players, which included Fallon Sherrock and Johnny Vegas, to amass £5,000 before going head to head with a stern looking Mark.
Mark’s opening remarks to the presenter came with an unwanted jibe for veteran host Bradley.

Mark said: "I think you two could form a double act – Dev and Div."
The unexpected comment sent the audience into a roar of laughter as Bradley swiftly moved on by declaring his catchphrase, ‘let’s put some money on the table’.
Dev displayed his confidence by accepting the top offer of an astonishing £50,000 and put on an excellent performance managing to bring the money back to his team.
Following a slew of impressive rounds the celebrities ended up with a total of £56,000 and a four step head start in the final round but their luck appeared to run out.
The stars struggled their way through two minutes of intense questioning and got 10 right taking their total to 14.
The score was no match for chaser Mark who managed to defeat them in just 59 seconds leaving the team without a penny.
Despite the earlier jibes between the pair, Bradley congratulated Mark calling his performance ‘pretty impressive’ to which Mark slyly replied: “It’s what I do.”
