Michael Owen drops new hint he doesn’t approve of Gemma’s boyfriend Luca Bish after meeting on family holiday

MICHAEL Owen could possibly have dropped a new hint that he doesn’t approve of his daughter Gemma’s boyfriend Luca Bish after meeting on a family holiday.

Gemma, 19, and Luca, 23, jetted off to Portugal last week so that the fishmonger could FINALLY meet the football legend.

Despite being left out of the family snap, Michael seemingly HAS given Luca the seal of approval by following him on Instagram.

In exclusive snaps shared earlier today, Luca was seen enjoying dinner with Gemma's family, including Michael.

It appears the meeting went well as both Luca and Michael are smiling in the snaps, taken as the family have a bite to eat.

But it could be inferred that Michael doesn't approve because of his recent Instagram post.

Last night he a snap of with his wife Louise Bonsall, and kids Emily, Jessica and James at Restaurante Alambique in Almancil, Portugal.

Michael captioned the post: "Family -1" - hinting that Gemma was the only person missing from the pic.

Gemma was left fuming that she was left out of the picture and commented: "I was there for 4 days and you wait til I leave to get a family picture."

It seems like Luca also felt a little left out.

He rushed to the comments section to correct Michael and said: "-2*."

Love Island fans absolutely loved the banter between them all.

One said: "safe to say the family must love him for him to be comfortable with this cheekiness."

A second added: "@lucabish I’m screaming," with laughing emojis.

Despite being left out of the family snap, Michael HAS given Luca the seal of approval by following him on Instagram.

A source previously told The Sun that fishmonger Luca was nervous about coming face-to-face with Gemma's dad for the first time.

The insider revealed: "Luca has been nervous about meeting Michael which is, of course, totally natural.

“He adores Gemma and knows that he has to impress.

“They flew out from Gatwick to spend time with him and Gemma’s mum at their private villa in Quinta Do Lago.

“Luca is a nice lad and Gemma has no doubt he will win him over but of course it is nerve wracking.”

Last night Gemma revealed that she had touched back down in the UK with a sizzling selfie.

Giving her best pout while rocking some stylish sunglasses, Gemma said: "Back in the UK for a busy week ahead!"

The pair had a busy week in Portugal.

Not only did Luca meet Michael, but Gemma also shot some bits for her swimwear brand.

The hunk also asked Gemma to be his girlfriend.
