'top of the list'

THIS Morning host Alison Hammond is one of the favourites to host the new Big Brother.

Earlier this month the reality TV show's comeback was confirmed during an ad break of this year's Love Island final.

The returning series will air on ITV2 and on new service ITVX, with all the action once again happening in a purpose-built house with nominations, public votes and live evictions.

And fans have been wracking their brains trying to figure out who will be hosting the show.

It seems like This Morning presenter, Alison Hammond - who shot to fame on Big Brother in 2002 alongside Kate Lawler - is a serious contender.

A source said: “Alison is top of the list to present next year’s Big Brother.

They continued to the Mirror: "Execs think she’s exactly what the show needs.

"She’s energetic, fun, relatable and she was on the show, so she knows it inside out.”

And it seems like she's more than happy to take on the role.

When asked if she'd like to on The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan: “I think so. They need to change it up a bit. We’ve got to put it out there to the universe. Let’s make it happen.”

Alison rocketed into the public eye after appearing on the third ever series of Big Brother 20 years ago.

The show became a launchpad for her career as she became a presenter on This Morning the same year, and started presenting This Morning on Fridays with Dermot O'Leary in 2020.
