Love Island’s Paige reveals what her mum thinks of Adam now they’re official – after slamming him in villa

LOVE Island's Paige Thorne has dished the dirt on what her mum really thinks of boyfriend Adam Collard now they have made things official.

It came after her outspoken parent made a series of savage comments about the PT when she visited the villa.

Back in the villa, as Paige gushed about their amazing time together, she asked mum, Samantha, for her view.

There was a very long pause before she finally said 'Ummm' and Paige looked very disappointed.

Her mum then took things one step further as she said she "wasn't buying" their coupling.

Yet, thankfully, things seem to have taken a complete U-Turn and the situation is now a much happier one.

Speaking to Friday's Lorraine show, Paige said her mum was "a hundred per cent" a fan of Adam and continued: "She absolutely loves him now.

"It took all of two minutes when he came down to Swansea, now she is just obsessed."

She admitted she had thrown her man "in at the deep end" as he met the entirety of her family at the same time.

Yet she said she had "no doubt" he would impress - as images of Adam dancing with her gran, giving her uncle a piggy-back and posing with her father played out.

She gushed: "It was nice to get it done."

Adam, for his part, quipped: "They rinsed me - they gave me a grilling."

During the same chat, Paige revealed how she would soon be returning to her day job.

She was adamant she wanted to return to the paramedic profession she "loves" - and will juggle her work with new career opportunities.

Paige, who was holding hands with her man on the sofa, addressed her next steps.

She told stand-in host Ranvir Singh: "I've got meetings to go back to being a paramedic next week.

"I saw an ambulance with sirens on recently and I seriously had FOMO (fear of missing out.)

"I am going to go back into that and do a little bit of some other opportunities."

Proving supportive of Paige's choice, Adam added: "I think people will be surprised about how much she spoke about that in the villa."

Ranvir suggested some telly fans may have been "surprised" by her choice, to which Paige replied: "I genuinely love my job.

"Why wouldn't I go back to it?"
