CELEBRITY MasterChef viewers have blasted the show for a "rigged" challenge - and its "pathetic attempt to cover it up".
The famous faces returned to the BBC One cooking show on Thursday night for the latest instalment of the competition.
But viewers were convinced that the four celebrities received "help" with their tricky dish.
Judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode tasked the celebrities with making a classic dessert called oeufs a la neige, which is a dessert consisting of meringue floating on crème anglaise.
Love Island star Faye Winter, ChuckleVision’s Paul Chuckle, McFly’s Danny Jones and comedian Kae Kurd had only 20 minutes to make the dish.
First up was reality star Faye, who admitted she'd never made meringue before but remembered she needed to whisk the egg whites into stiff peaks.

She confidently whipped up meringue before she moved on to making the custard and caramel.
The judges were stunned with her efforts. Gregg told Faye: "That looks great."
John thought her custard was a "nice" consistency and felt the meringue was light.
Gregg agreed and said: "That's the second good dessert you've done. You might be a pastry chef."

But viewers weren't buying it and thought the contestants were guided on how to cook the dessert before filming started.
One wrote: "There is NO WAY that they have not had any guidance for this. Nobody, who has not either seen a picture or read some instructions could do this #CelebrityMasterChef."
Another posted: "As if anyone apart from a trained chef knows how to make all the parts of this dessert. And as if Gregg knew the translation off the top of his head."
A third agreed: "Pathetic for #CelebrityMasterChef to think we believe that Faye knew nothing about dessert beforehand or wasn't given tips and hints."
Another echoed: "Watching #CelebrityMasterChef There is no way these celebs can make this dessert without knowing anything at all, or at least seeing a photo. They’ve obviously had help."
Unfortunately comedian Kae was the second contestant on Celebrity MasterChef 2022 to be eliminated.
The British-Kurdish stand-up comic and writer didn't manage to impress the judges with his final dish and failed to make it to the quarter-finals.

Kae said: "Obviously I'm gutted but I came in with the skills I did, and I've left with more skills.

"I've learned a lot. That's what it's about."
In the previous episode, Nancy Dell’Olio, a veteran of shows including Strictly and Celebrity Big Brother, was the first cook to get the boot.
