One of The Chase contestants was Beth, who fans praised for her quiz skills on social media.

The Beast was equally as impressed and despite defeating her and fellow quiz team Graham and Terry, he told her: “It’s not often I say this but Beth you’ve clearly got talent but you cracked today.”

He then urged her to “please do more quizzing,” which Bradley was quick to agree with as he said: “Yeah, yeah, she’d make a good Chaser.”

However The Beast wasn’t as convinced, and said: “No. In five years maybe.”

Taking to Twitter to air their views after the exchange, one The Chase fan wrote: “Brutal. That woman on the chase was one of the smartest I’ve ever seen.”

Another added: “Wow. The Beast roasting big-head Beth,” and a third said: “Brad is right Beth could be chaser one day that's for sure. We are overdue another female chaser.”

Currently the female Chasers the show has seen are Anne Hegerty and Jenny Ryan.

It follows a recent episode where a contestant was left stunned as host Bradley revealed they both shared a very similar past.

The first contestant was 31-year-old Kay, an animal science student originally from Leeds but now living in Paignton, Devon with her husband.

During their conversation, Kay told TV host Bradley, 62, she was an entertainer and dancer, often taking part in local festivals.

Speaking more about her past, the student revealed she previously worked at popular holiday park resort Pontins, where she was a Blue Coat entertainer with the company.

However, she was left stunned - along with the audience - when Bradley revealed he also worked as a Blue Coat entertainer.

"So was I," he quickly responded to her.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
