CHANNEL 4 viewers were left sobbing after last night’s episode of The Supervet where several pet owners were forced to make some difficult decisions.
In Thursday’s episode of , the titular specialist vet had to deal with three tricky surgical cases.
Dogs Bertie, Edith and Sonny all needed life-saving surgery and Noel was their last hope.
In emotional scenes, Noel, 54, told the individual owners of each of the dogs that it was up to the ethics review board to decide whether they could have the surgery, or whether euthanasia would be a kinder option.
Golden retriever Bertie and springer-spaniel Edith both needed dangerous spinal surgery while Tibetan terrier Sonny needed surgery to save his right leg.
The owners were brought to tears as they agonised over this difficult choice and prayed Noel would be able to help their dogs.
Watching the scenes was heart-wrenching for viewers.
“#supervet is a hard watch man. Jees!” said one viewer.
