But in Tuesday's episode, guest Julie left her mother Jackie gobsmacked as she revealed she thought host of the Channel 5 show "was a woman."

She said: "I quite like Jules. He's a true gentleman.

"I thought it was a woman,"; Julie replied.

The mother and daughter duo were on a mission to search for air-looms at Jackie's mother-in-law Winnie's home in a bid to raise £1,000.

They aimed to put the money towards a pageant dress for Julie's daughter Daisy, who's just qualified for the final of Miss Teen GB.

They walked away from the show with a whopping £1,864.

Talking about filming the show, Chris Kamara said: "The auctions have been a lot of fun.

"We've had some real adrenaline rollercoaster rides – and our amazing expert appraisers know everything about everything so it's fascinating filming with them.

"After all, what do I know about antiques? Nothing! But the best thing for me has been meeting the people who've welcomed us into their homes to go treasure hunting.

"I’ve had an absolute blast on every show and it’s been a real honour to go on the journey with them."

Cash in the Attic airs weekdays on Channel 5 at 6pm.
