Ex-Coronation Street star signs up for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing
EX-CORRIE star Kym Marsh has signed for Strictly Come Dancing.
The Sun on Sunday revealed last month that the BBC Morning Live host, 46, was in talks for her ballroom debut.
And BBC sources yesterday said they were thrilled to have finally persuaded her to come on board.
One source said: “We have been keen to sign Kym for a while and approached her many times in the past but it has never worked out.
“When we approached her this year she was interested, which was very exciting for us.
“As well as her presenting work, she is filming for Waterloo Road at the end of the year, so she had to consider it carefully.

“But, thankfully, she has come back with a yes and everyone is thrilled she is going to be joining this year’s celebrities.
“It is a massive coup for us and Kym will be a stellar addition to the cast.”
Mum-of-four Kym rose to fame with pop group Hear’Say in 2001.
She went on to play Michelle Connor on the Corrie cobbles for 13 years.
Since leaving in 2019 she has presented BBC Morning Live alongside Gethin Jones.
In June last year, she married army major Scott Ratcliff.

And in February, BBC bosses confirmed she was joining school drama Waterloo Road as mum-of-two Nicky Walters.
A BBC spokeswoman declined to comment.
