The View fans slam show for ‘hiring’ Alyssa Farah Griffin over favorite hosting choice in ‘massively disrespectful’ move
FANS of The View are threatening to boycott the long-running show, if rumors of the name of the new co-host become a reality.
The viewers are upset that journalist Alyssa Farah Griffin is reportedly next in line for a seat at the table.
They say they'd rather see more of Ana Navarro, and promise to turn the show off unless they add the newsmaker.
Last week, it was reported that Alyssa Farah Griffin has been hired as a new full-time co-host, following Meghan McCain’s exit last year.
Three sources informed that Alyssa will be joining Sara Haines, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and Sunny Hostin for The View's 26th season, which begins in September.
But many fans slammed the choice of new conservative host, calling instead for favorite Ana Navarro to be named host.

On Twitter, the outrage was swift.
" I will stop watching The View if former Trumper, Alyssa Farrah Griffin is hired," one viewer shared. "Give the job to Ana Navarro, even if she has to stay in Florida!"
Another added: "If #TheView has integrity and wants a truly different conservative voice that is not extremist and has never sold out, that would only be @ananavarro.
"They should reconsider and hire her or many of us will simply not watch the show anymore."

On viewer even called the show out for dragging their feet about making the official choice.
"The View is afraid to publicly announce they hired AFG as permanent co-host because they know viewers will RIGHTFULLY leave in droves!"
NEW VIEW
Fans had previously been speculating that the former communications director to ex-president Donald Trump might be joining the show full-time to take over the conservative seat from ex-panelist Meghan.
Griffin has since criticized Trump but she remains conservative.

She recently appeared on the show to talk about the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade, the inflation crisis, and rise of gas prices.
Alyssa's July appearance on the ABC program came after rumors about the search for a new permanent panelist kicked off.
